All selected projects will receive accreditation with free access to all festival films and activities, including parties and workshops for two team members. Winning films will receive awards in each category, along with a statuette as recognition.
Terms and Conditions
The Films of the Future Festival offers two key training programs for filmmakers and artists from around the world, aimed at fostering the development of innovative and evolving film projects. These programs are designed to provide space for growth, idea exchange, and support for works in progress, contributing to the cinema of the future. The training programs are:
Work in Progress Films
This program is designed for feature film projects in an intermediate stage of development, i.e., works in the editing, assembly, or post-production phase.
Requirements:
Films in work in progress of any genre (documentary, animation, or fiction) are accepted.
Works must be in an advanced production phase, with at least a preliminary cut available for viewing.
The minimum duration of the films should be 60 minutes.
Pay the participation fee of $21.50 USD / 20,000 CLP / 30.93 CAD.
Selected films will have the opportunity to be presented in an exclusive space for industry professionals, producers, distributors, and film experts, aiming to generate visibility and financing opportunities.
Benefits:
Presentation to an audience of film experts, distributors, and potential investors.

Opportunities for co-production, distribution, and collaboration.
Latin American Project Lab
The Latin American Project Lab is designed for filmmakers and creators from Latin America who are in the early development stage of their film projects. This lab aims to support the creation of innovative and high-impact films, with a particular focus on new voices in Latin American cinema.
Requirements:
The project must be in development or pre-production (script, ideas, and concept should be defined).
It can be a feature film or short film of any genre (documentary or fiction).
The project must be from a Latin American filmmaker or production team.
Pay the participation fee of $21.50 USD / 20,000 CLP / 30.93 CAD.
Benefits:
Personalized mentoring from industry experts, screenwriters, producers, and distributors.
Practical workshops on financing, distribution, pitching, and project development.
Opportunity to present the project to an international jury and receive high-level feedback.
Possibility to connect with producers, distributors, and international agents who can support the project in its next production stages.
Both programs offer participants a space to advance their projects, learn from film professionals, and build valuable relationships for their careers. Selected projects in both categories will benefit from international visibility and networking opportunities provided by the Films of the Future Festival.
